Yayoi Kusama Exhibition Sets New Attendance Record at NGV

Yayoi Kusama exhibition held at NGV International in Melbourne, Australia from 15 December 2024 to 21 April 2025 attracted over 570,000 visitors, setting a new attendance record for NGV. A total of 200 artworks were displayed, including Kusama’s iconic Infinity Mirror Room and the outdoor installation Ascension of Polka Dots on the Trees. More than 24% of visitors came from outside Victoria or abroad, making a major impact on the region’s tourism economy.
